Ketoprofen
Ketoprofen is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Ketoprofen works by reducing chemicals that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

Riboflavin
One contributor found in many migraine sufferers is related to low cellular energy reserves in their brains. Studies reveal that this is due to less efficient energy production in their brain cells. Researchers believe that during a migraine attack the brain’s cells are in a type of energy crisis. This crisis is due to impairment of a special part of cells known as mitochondria.
Textbooks like to describe the mitochondria as "the powerhouses of cells". Riboflavin is a precursor or building block to substances found in mitochondria, which facilitate efficient cellular energy production. It’s thought that by increasing riboflavin intake and therefore the potential of brain cells to generate energy, migraines might be prevented.

Caffeine
Caffeine is a commonly used drug that increases alertness and decreases fatigue. However, it is a common ingredient in many prescription and over-the-counter headache medications. In fact, caffeine additives make pain-relievers 40% more effective in treating headaches. It also helps the body absorb headache medications more quickly, bringing faster relief. Another potentially beneficial property of caffiene is the way it can constrict blood vessels. This may be especially helpful for migraine sufferers. Studies have found that although migraines headaches are triggered by different situations the most common result is dilation of cranial blood vessels.
**It must be noted that for some people caffeine may trigger a migraine headache.   Furthermore, caffeine could potentially increase your blood pressure. If you have been instructed to stay away from caffeine, we also make Headache Relief capsules without caffeine.

Sodium Bicarbonate
Sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, is used to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion by neutralizing excess stomach acid. It is also used to make the blood and urine more alkaline in certain conditions. Constriction of cranial blood vessels during a headache can cause oxygen depletion of the surrounding tissues. Studies have found that oxygen deprived tissues may result in a condition called acidosis and can worsen a headache. Sodium Bicarbonate may buffer or balance this acidic environment and thereby assist in headache relief. The primary benefit of sodium bicarbonate is it’s ability to settle the stomach. This property is useful since riboflavin and caffeine are both known to cause heartburn in some individuals.

Warnings:
- Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever/fever reducer.
- Although rare, Ketoprofen may cause stomach bleeding.
- Do not use if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
- Not recommended for anyone under 15 years old.
